MLC Retreat with MPS Burmese High School Students (May 31, 2014)

Myanmar Learning Center successful ended its 2013-2014 tutoring program with a combined retreat with MPS Burmese high school students at Jackson Park on May 31, 2014. Students and teachers from both sides enjoyed a day out and fellowship with one another, sharing foods, playing games, volley ball and Burmese traditional cane ball. It was so wonderful to see students from multi-ethnic backgrounds from Burma. Thanks to Mr. William Xiong for organizing this retreat and for providing a cane ball net, volleyball net and water, Karl for bringing the volleyball net, Nan for bringing Burmese vermicilli, Oliver for cane ball, and Mr and Mrs Bounket for Thai papaya salad, and Marne for cakes. Thanks to all students who turned up and made this a wonderful and successful event. Also thanks to parents who brought their kids to this event.
